There are 2 separate Vcas with different character of the control scale.
The first is a linear Vca and the second a logarithmic Vca.
Both Vcas produce a clean sound with near zero dc output voltage as there are dedicated trimmers on the circuit for this.
Each VCA has a manual gain control (positive CV offset ),
a control voltage input with attenuator and an audio input with attenuator
(the input knob goes to over amplification after 2-3 o’clock in case you have a low signal or just want to overdrive a bit.
All inputs and outputs are DC coupled. Consequently the VCAs can be used to process both audio and control voltages.
The Logarithmic Vca is very punchy and percussive so it’s a must for processing audio signals.
Attention: When you send a CV signal into it , for example an envelope and you open the CV knob, the gain knob must be closed as it adds volume in addition to the CV signal and that means it goes way beyond unity gain
(That doesn’t happen with the Linear Vca) . If you don’t have the CV knob open then the gain knob goes in unity gain when it’s fully open.
